Revolution Contractors Credentials and Licenses
Before you sign a construction contract on a Pinellas home, you want proof the contractor actually holds the licenses they claim, carries real insurance, and has a track record you can verify without taking their word for it. This page puts ours in one place.
You will find our Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation license numbers, insurance coverage structure, bonding information, industry awards, and the external links where you can confirm each item independently.
High-net-worth homeowners, estate attorneys, wealth managers, and architect partners ask us for credential verification before shortlisting Revolution Contractors for a project. Rather than send the same packet twenty times a year, we put the public-facing version here. If you need a signed insurance certificate or a bonding reference letter addressed to your attorney, ask and we will send it.
Florida Contractor Licenses
Revolution Contractors operates under two active Florida DBPR licenses, held by two different qualifiers inside the company. Both are current and both are verifiable at myfloridalicense.com.
CGC1522463: Certified General Contractor, Brent Patterson
- Issuing authority: Florida DBPR Construction Industry Licensing Board
- Scope: certified general contractor, no vertical or scope limit on Florida construction work
- Verify at: myfloridalicense.com (search by license number)
- Status: Active
CRC1331628: Certified Residential Contractor, Jeremy Wharton
- Issuing authority: Florida DBPR Construction Industry Licensing Board
- Scope: certified residential contractor
- Verify at: myfloridalicense.com (search by license number)
- Status: Active
Both licenses matter because they cover different scopes of work. Running them in parallel lets us keep residential remodeling, custom-home building, and the occasional light-commercial job inside one company without stretching either qualifier past their authorized scope.
Insurance Coverage
We carry commercial general liability insurance, workers' compensation for every carpenter on payroll, and project-specific builder's risk coverage.
- General liability insurance (coverage amount available on request for contract-signing clients)
- Workers' compensation coverage for our 20+ W-2 carpenters in-house
- Builder's risk coverage structured on a per-project basis, which we walk you through at contract review
- Insurance certificates provided to clients at contract signing and on request to project architects or lenders
Workers' comp coverage for in-house crew is a quieter credential than people realize. Because our carpenters are W-2 payroll employees rather than rotating subs, our workers' comp policy covers the people actually swinging hammers on your project. If someone gets hurt on your site, you are not exposed to a sub's lapsed policy.
Bonding Capacity
Revolution Contractors maintains an active bonding relationship sized for the project range we typically take on.
- Bonding capacity available for projects inside our standard scope range
- Specific bonding capacity disclosed to clients at contract-signing
- Reference letter from our bonding institution available on request
- Why this matters: your estate attorney or wealth manager often wants a bonding reference as part of their standard construction-contract review. We will send one addressed to them directly.
Industry Recognition
Preserve the Burg 2025 Residential Rehabilitation Award
- Project recognized: 1923 Bungalow restoration at 175 19th Avenue SE, Old Southeast St Petersburg. Revolution Contractors served as general contractor on the project; John Barie Design LLC was the architect of record.
- Issuing authority: Preserve the Burg, St Petersburg's historic preservation nonprofit
- Verify at: preservetheburg.org (recent awards page)
- What this award recognizes: residential-scale historic rehabilitation and preservation craftsmanship judged by local preservation professionals
- Why this matters: Preserve the Burg awards are peer-reviewed by Pinellas-based historic preservation professionals. For a client considering a historic rehabilitation project in Old Northeast, Snell Isle, or Old Southeast, this is the kind of recognition that confirms preservation work holds up under expert review.
Business Reputation
Independent, external platforms carry our rating and client-review history. You can verify each one yourself.
- Google Business Profile: 4.6-star average across 66 client reviews. Search Revolution Contractors on google.com/maps.
- Angi: 4.7-star average across 56 client reviews. Verify at angi.com.
- Preserve the Burg 2025 Residential Rehabilitation Award: see the Industry Recognition section above.
- Houzz Pro profile with portfolio verification.
- Local Pinellas media coverage: WFLA News Channel 8 "Surviving the Storm" segment featuring the Revolution + Modern House and Building Movers house-lift partnership. Verify at wfla.com.
Professional Memberships
Revolution Contractors participates in trade and industry associations relevant to Pinellas residential construction. The current specific list is available on request for contract-signing clients. We publish the verified list, not a wish list.
In-House Team Credentials
- 20+ W-2 carpenters on Revolution Contractors payroll, not a rotating subcontractor roster
- Our carpenters hold individual trade certifications where applicable to their craft
- Our site superintendents bring 15+ years of Pinellas construction experience; specific superintendent credentials disclosed at project assignment
- Our ownership and project-management team carries 20+ years of combined Pinellas construction and construction-management experience
The W-2 crew structure is deliberate. When you hire Revolution Contractors, the people on your site report to our superintendents and get their checks from our payroll. That changes how carefully the work is done and how fast problems get escalated.
What We Do Not Claim
Our credentials list is deliberately short because every item on it is verifiable. Here is what we do not claim, even though related work shows up in our portfolio.
- No CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) designation currently held by any team member, though we have completed aging-in-place renovations in Pinellas homes
- No LEED Accredited Professional certification unless specifically applicable to a project team member assigned to your job
- No industry awards beyond those listed in the Industry Recognition section above
- No credential currently claimed in any third-party directory, ad, or write-up that is not confirmed on this page
If you see a credential attributed to Revolution Contractors in a directory listing, ad, or online write-up that does not appear here, treat it as unverified and ask us directly. We would rather you check than assume.
How to Verify Independently
Every credential on this page is independently verifiable. Here is where to look.

- Pinellas County property records cross-reference: pcpao.gov
- Preserve the Burg 2025 award: preservetheburg.org (recent awards page)
- WFLA News Channel 8 segment: youtube.com/watch?v=CbwuVBVd_lg

If any link fails or any public record looks out of date, email us and we will send the current certificate or verification letter the same day.
